I started in electronics but landed in IT. Then I fell in love with writing code. These days, I'm interested in the tools and systems that help people do useful work.

Software Engineer
at Volvo Cars

I work on developer experience and engineering productivity at Volvo Cars, helping our developers get the tools and platforms they need to build software.

My responsibilities include:

  • Internal Developer Portal (Backstage): Developing our internal developer platform, with direct responsibility for software templates that help engineers create and maintain projects.
  • GitHub platform: Working in the team responsible for managing Volvo Cars' GitHub organization and providing development tooling across the company.
  • AI development tools: Helping configure and provide AI-powered tools for our developers.
  • AI adoption and evaluation: Contributing my agentic engineering knowledge to decisions about tooling, developer pilots, surveys, and how we evaluate what engineers actually need.
  • Technology awareness: Following developments in AI-assisted software engineering, both within Volvo Cars and across the wider engineering community, to help inform our approach.

What I particularly enjoy is the combination of hands-on engineering and understanding how developers actually work. A tool can look fantastic in a demo, but whether it makes someone's daily work better is a different question.
